TRIO SSS Student Awarded a Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholarship!
Congratulations to TRIO SSS student Amish Patel on his award of the prestigious Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholarship! This program is designed to increase the pool of potential California State University faculty by supporting the doctoral aspirations of CSU students who have experienced economic and educational disadvantages.
Amish is a member of the TRIO Student Support Services - United for Success program and supports fellow TRIO students as a Peer Coach. After he graduates in Spring 2022, Amish will pursue a Ph.D. in Psychology, where he hopes to study topics related to mindfulness, implicit bias, and health disparities.
