Eligibility

Students who are interested in participating in one of Sonoma State University’s TRIO Student Support Services programs must be either a U.S. citizen or a permanant resident and meet at least one of the following eligibility requirements:

  • a first-generation college student (neither of the student’s parents has obtained a Bachelor’s degree)
  • a student who meets the federal low-income levels
  • a student with a documented disability

In addition, to the eligibility requirements listed above, students interested in joining TRIO SSS's Multilingual Achievers Program, must have learned another language prior to learning English.
